Las Vegas Real Estate News

SFRs Moving Fast – Stable Price… The median sales price was $220,000, down 0.2 percent from February but up 7.3 percent from a year earlier. Buyers picked up 2,783 single-family homes in March, up 31.8 percent from February and 2.8 percent from March 2015.

Large Distribution Center in NLV… Large distribution centers are being built and quickly absorbed way faster than I predicted. “Build it and they will come” certainly applies to large warehouse and industrial space. This particular center will have a positive impact on NLV which is expected to be completed at the end of this year.

Downtown Plaza Hotel Upgrade… The Plaza Pool is due for significant upgrades to include six cabana suites loaded with TVs, furniture, fans… Extending the usable space to 70,000 square feet — with the addition of courts for tennis, basketball and pickle ball (a small-scale mash of tennis, table tennis and racquetball), as well as foosball, table tennis and a sandbag-toss game. Yay. Can’t wait.

Non Gambling Revenues Way Up… Food, drink and show expenditures also were the highest they’ve reached over the last five years. According to the visitor profile, average trip expenditures for food and drink were $292 in 2015, up from $281.88 in 2014 and $274.69 in 2011. For shows, meanwhile, visitors spent an average of $61.95 on their trip in 2015, up from $47.56 in 2014 and $47.52 in 2011.
